The Calys N variety comes from the ResDur2 program established by INRAE. It was registered in the official catalog in March 2024. This variety has polygenic resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, partial resistance to black rot, and very good tolerance to gray rot. The variety is low-yielding due to its small, loose clusters composed of small berries. Its oenological qualities are well recognized; the wines are fruity, complex, full-bodied, rich in tannins, with a high color intensity.
