The Orellis B variety was selected by INRAE as part of the ResDur3 program. Its resistance to fungal diseases is described as follows: very high resistance to downy mildew, total resistance to powdery mildew, and limited partial resistance to black rot. Orellis B has an average yield, with medium to large clusters. White wines made from this variety are aromatic, with fruity and floral notes, but also well-structured on the palate with nice acidity.
