The Voltis B variety was obtained by INRAE as part of its ResDur1 program. Its low fertility, particularly at the basal buds, requires long pruning. Voltis B has polygenic resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew; however, it is sensitive to black rot. Under limited production conditions, wines made from the Voltis B variety are slightly aromatic, smooth, full-bodied, and persistent.
