The Soreli B variety was obtained as part of a breeding program led by the University of Udine (IGA, Institute of Applied Genetics) in Italy. Its resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew is considered good. Its resistance to winter frost is particularly noteworthy; however, the Soreli B variety is sensitive to black rot. With medium to high vigor, the variety has semi-drooping shoots that require careful trellising. Wines produced from this variety are characterized by notes of exotic fruits, citrus, and floral aromas.
