The Lilaro N variety was selected as part of the ResDur2 program led by INRAE. It has very high resistance to downy mildew, total resistance to powdery mildew, and partial resistance to black rot. Additionally, Lilaro N shows good tolerance to grey rot despite having compact clusters. Lilaro N is a vigorous variety with semi-erect shoots and good production potential. Wines made from this variety are fruity and balanced due to the presence of fine tannins and moderately intense colorants. In rosé winemaking, the wines are delicate and expressive.
