The Exelys B variety was developed by INRAE as part of its ResDur2 breeding program. It was officially registered in the catalogue in May 2024. This variety has polygenic resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, as well as good tolerance to botrytis, despite its compact clusters. Of medium vigor, its production remains limited due to its small clusters made up of small berries. Therefore, a high crop load is recommended. The wines produced from this variety are aromatic, mainly characterized by very terpenic notes (floral and fruity).
