The Cabernet Cortis N variety comes from a breeding program conducted by the Freiburg Research Institute in Germany (WBI, Staatliches Weinbauinstitut Freiburg). This variety has good resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, black rot, and botrytis (in northern regions). It is characterized by strong vigor and average yields. Its wines have high acidity and accumulate sugars rapidly. The aromatic profile of these wines features notes of spices and cherries.
