Artaban is a wine grape variety from the INRAE-ResDur1 series with polygenic resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew. This variety results from a cross between Mtp 3082-1-42 and RL. Artaban N is a variety from the INRAE-ResDur1 series, resistant to downy mildew and powdery mildew but susceptible to black rot and grey mold. With medium vigor, the variety is very sensitive to magnesium deficiency and may also exhibit some difficulties with ripening. The wines produced from its medium-sized berries, with thin skins and juicy pulp, are light, colored, and characterized by fruity aromas. However, it is important to note that very aggressive tannins can develop if the grapes are underripe.
